If you have followed the logic so far, you can expect, if the site is working
properly, and your hotel is in an area that browsers are targeting on search
engines to get 40 to 50 visits per day.
Getting the punter to look at the web site is now the start of getting them
to book
- once the browser gets to your web sites front page you have about 5 seconds
to grab them and stop them clicking on
- the front page has therefore to tell them all they need to know
- do not make the front page anything other than functional, tell the browser
clearly and quickly why they should stay in your hotel
- if they like the message they will stop and dig further. At that stage you
can afford to be more flowerly with your inside pages
- This should lead to around 3 bookings per week if you have got your
message right
- if you have paid around £1000 for the site for a year, this is good
value for money
